NEWINGTON, Conn. – After dropping the doubles point, the Boston University men's tennis team rallied with five singles wins, including three in straight sets, to claim a 6-1 victory over Villanova on Saturday evening.

- After the Wildcats claimed a 6-2 win at line 2 in doubles, senior Lucas Bombonatti and sophomore Satyajit Simhadri earned a 6-4 victory in the top slot.
- Villanova though jumped out to a 1-0 lead by topping the Terriers at line 3 with a 6-4 win.
- The Wildcats pushed the lead to two points with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles.
- Villanova would not earn another point, as BU quickly tied it up with three straight-set wins.
- Bombonatti beat Luis Miranda at No. 1 singles, 7-6(3), 6-1, and senior Mario Sandoval followed with a 6-3, 7-6(0) win in the No. 5 slot.
- Senior Jake De Vries also won a tiebreaker at No. 4 for the 6-3, 7-6(3) victory.
- Freshman Marc Sable clinched the team win at No. 6 by holding off a late charge in a three-set 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 win.
- Simhadri ended the match by rallying from a set down to post a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win in the No. 3 slot.
- The Terriers will head to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. to face Marist on Sunday (March 26) at 11 a.m.
