
Terriers Compete at IC4A Championships on Sunday

ECAC WOMEN'S FINAL RESULTS | IC4A MEN'S FINAL RESULTS
BOSTON - The Boston University men's track & field team concluded their indoor season competing in the IC4A Championships on Sunday.
The top-eight finishers in each event this weekend are designated as All-IC4A/All-ECAC Performers. Among those to finish in the top eight were the 4x400 relay team of Cameron Nurse, Justin Flynn, Chiebuka Onwuzurike and Jamin Harris, who finished third with a time of 3:15.80. Earlier in the meet, Flynn also advanced to the finals in the 60m dash and finished seventh with a time of 6.95. Onwuzurike advanced to Sunday's finals in the 200m dash and finished seventh with a time of 21.74.
In addition, junior Jason Biesma won bronze in the men's heptathlon with 4735 points.
After this weekend's competition, seniors Cameron Williams (200m dash) and David Oluwadara (triple jump) will compete at the NCAA Division I Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 10 and 11 in College Station, Texas.
On the women's side, in the final event of the championship meet, the foursome of Ayodele Adesanya, Toria Levy, Djenne Parris and Leah Fowlkes finished first with a school-record time of 3:37.62, nearly five seconds faster than the second-place school. The foursome broke their own school record set on Feb. 19 at the Patriot League Championships (3:39.66).
Also winning gold for the Terriers was sophomore Lovie Burleson in the long jump. Burleson set a new personal best in the event with a 5.95m (19' 6.25") effort to finish first. Burleson later finished sixth in the triple jump (12.20m, 40' .50"). Burleson's ECAC title comes on the heels of her remarkable performance at the Patriot League Championships when she won gold in the long jump and the triple jump and was named Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Meet.
Among those to finish in the top eight were freshman Leah Fowlkes, who advanced to the finals in the 400m dash and finished fourth with a time of 55.36. Senior Toria Levy finished sixth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.69 while in the field, sophomore Kennedy Jones finished seventh in the triple jump with 12.01m (39' 5") effort.
