COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Senior Cameron Williams of the Boston University men's track & field team concluded his indoor season on Friday competing in the 200-meter dash at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Texas A&M.
Competing in the semifinals against the country's 15 fastest 200 meter sprinters with the top eight times advancing to the finals, Williams finished 14th with a time of 20.98, topping the 21.10 time he set at last year's Indoor NCAAs. USC's Just'N Thymes posted the fastest mark at 20.49, while Baylor's Maxwell Willis grabbed the last slot for Saturday's final at 20.83.
A native of nearby San Antonio, Texas, Williams bested Ohio State's Deshawn Marshall and North Carolina A&T's Christopher Belcher. Williams' performance earned him second-team All-America honors.
Friday's race concludes another impressive indoor season for Williams, as he previously broke his own school and Patriot League record in the 200m with a winning time of 20.57 seconds at the PL Championships.
Senior and three-time PL triple jump champion David Oluwadara will have his shot at earning points for the Terriers on Saturday (March 11) when he competes in the triple jump starting at 6 p.m. ET.
