The No. 2 Boston University women's lightweight rowing team will look to defend their Women's Eastern Sprints Championship title on Sunday in Worcester, Mass. The Terriers will send out three boats to the prestigious competition on Lake Quinsigamond.

The first race of the day for the BU lightweights will be the varsity four grand final race at 12:30 p.m. with the Terriers battling Georgetown and Wisconsin. Next up will be the BU 2V racing in the grand final at 12:50 p.m. against Wisconsin, Harvard and Princeton.

The Terriers' No. 2 ranked varsity eight boat, the highest ranked boat in the regatta's lightweight competition, will then race in the 1V grand final at 1:05 p.m. against Georgetown, Princeton, Radcliffe and Wisconsin.

The Terriers' 1V has already beaten many of the top crews they will face on Sunday earlier this season. BU defeated Harvard, Princeton, Wisconsin and MIT at the Knecht Cup on April 9th in West Windsor, N.J.

Last year, the Terriers won gold in the varsity eight championship race on their way to a first place team finish in overall points, winning the Konrad Ulbrich Lightweight Points Trophy as Lightweight Sprints Champions.

After Sunday's competition, the Terriers will next compete at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia on May 12-13, before heading to Sacramento, Calif. to compete in the IRA National Championship Regatta on June 2-4.
