BOSTON – Returning to Case Gym, the Boston University women's basketball is set to host Lafayette on Wednesday, Jan. 24 for a 7 p.m. tipoff.

LAST TIME OUT

  • Despite a 22-point effort from Corrine Williams, BU's second half comeback came up short against Navy, 64-59, Saturday afternoon at The Roof.
  • The Terriers trailed by as many as 12 points to start the third quarter, but chipped away at the deficit to make it a one-point game, 60-59, with seven seconds left in regulation.
  • Williams' 22 points marked a career-high, as she hit on 8-of-15 from the floor and 3-of-5 from beyond-the-arc and hauled down rebounds.
  • Sophie Beaudry notched her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
  • BU outrebounded its opponent for the fourth straight games and has collected at least 40 boards three of the last four contests.

WILL POWER

  • Corrine Williams has reached double-digit scoring figures in each of the past three games and is averaging 15.7 points and 7.7 rebounds during that stretch.
  • Williams has connected on a blistering .600 percent from 3-point range, hitting six of her last 10 attempts.
  • The senior co-captain has also connected on .500 percent (15-of-30) from the floor.
  • Williams is also the most efficient player in the league from the free throw line, connecting on an .848 percent clip.

SCOUTING LAFAYETTE

  • The Leopards enter Wednesday's contest with a 7-11 overall mark and mirrors BU with a 3-5 showing in Patriot League games.
  • Lafayette is coming off a 74-67 loss to American on Saturday and has dropped four of its last five contests.
  • Natalie Kucowski leads the league with 11.0 rebounds per game is one of three players in the Patriot League to average a double-double, as she also leads the Leopards with 11.6 points per game.
  • Kucowski, a three-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week, has posted seven double-doubles on the season.
  •  Fellow freshman Drew Freeland, the Patriot League Rookie of the Week Dec. 26, leads the team in field goal percentage (.463) and 3-point field goal percentage (.475).

THE SERIES

  • BU has taken the past two matchups and holds the upper hand in the series, 12-5.
  • The Terriers and Leopards are a split 4-4 since BU joined the Patriot League.
