BOSTON - Following a week off from competition, the Boston University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will head to Fordham for a double-dual meet with the Rams and Brown on Friday, Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m.
Terrier Tidbits
- BU is coming off its second meet of the season, as it took on Bucknell, while the women's team also competed against Richmond in Lewisburg.
- The men's team picked up its second win of the season with a 182-114 decision against the Bison, marking its fifth straight 2-0 start to the season.
- Trevor Winans swept the 100 (46.80), 200 (1:40.18) and 500 free (4:39.28) events before anchoring the 400 free relay to a first-place finish with a time of 3:08.99.
- On the women's side, the Terriers cruised past Richmond, 176-123, and was edged by the host, 151-148.
- Julimar Avila led the team with two individual first-place finishes in the 100 (56.62) and 200 fly (2:04.58), and also anchored the 400 free relay team (3:31.00) to the top of the podium.
- Head coach Bill Smyth is in his 14th season at the helm of the Terriers.
- Since his arrival at BU in 2005, Smyth's student-athletes have won 123 individual conference crowns, while every men's and all but one women's school record has been broken at least once throughout his tenure.
- The Terriers will host one of two meets on its November schedule, starting with a dual meet against UMass on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1:30 p.m.
