BOSTON - Contending against Lehigh in its season opener Saturday at Competition Pool, the Boston University men's swimming and diving team pulled away late to secure a 162-144 win over the Mountain Hawks.

The Terriers finished atop the podium in eight events, including the last three, to eke out the win. Stuart Vickery played a hand in three first-place finishes as he won both the 100 and 200 fly and aided the 200 medley relay to victory. Freshmen Kevin Gu and Andrew White impressed in their debuts, as Gu won 200 breast and 200 IM, and White touched the wall first in the 100 back. On the boards, Cameron Schoffstall won the one-meter dive and finished second in the three-meter event.

BU will head to Lewisburg, Pa. next Saturday for another double-dual meet against Bucknell and Richmond.
