NORTH HAVEN, Conn. – Hitting the road for the first time this season following a perfect performance at home, the Boston University men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 5-2 decision at Quinnipiac on Saturday night.

MATCH NOTES

The Bobcats edged the Terriers in doubles action by winning the top two contests by a combined score of 14-11 and then claimed four singles points in straight sets for the win.
Sophomore Fabian Soemarno remained perfect in doubles for the dual season at 5-0 by teaming with freshman David Bogatin for a 6-3 victory at line 3.
Quinnipiac though escaped with a 7-6 win at line 1 against sophomore J.P. Avila and junior Satyajit Simhadri after earning a 7-5 victory in the No. 2 slot to jump out to a 1-0 lead.
Freshmen Ethan Kolsky (#5) and Pete Siozios (#6), the reigning Patriot League Player of the Week, won in their respective singles match by identical scores of 6-4, 6-4.
Simhadri was broken one too many times at line 1 for a hard-fought 7-5, 6-4 loss.
BU made its first trip to Quinnipiac since falling to the Bobcats, 6-1, in 2016.
