Terriers to Take on BC on Saturday

BOSTON - The Boston University women's openweight rowing team returns home to compete on the Charles River for the first time this spring season, taking on Boston College on Saturday.

Racing begins early on Saturday at 7:10 a.m. when the BU 3V 8 races against BC with the 2V4 race following at 7:30 a.m. The Terriers will then send out their varsity four at 7:50 a.m. followed by the 2V8 (8:10 a.m.) and the 1V8 (8:30a.m.).

"We are looking forward to racing on our home course this Saturday," said Boston University director of women's rowing Madeline Davis. "I know the team is looking to improve throughout this spring and this weekend should be a good test for us."

Saturday's racing will be the first time the openweight team has competed on the Charles River this spring. The Terriers opened their spring season on the road at the Doc Hosea Invite in Cherry Hill, N.J. on March 31. After this weekend, BU will be back on the road, competing at the Clemson Invite in Clemson, S.C. on April 14-15.
