
Terriers Finish Fifth at Boston College Intercollegiate

CANTON, Mass. - The Boston University golf team battled rainy conditions at Blue Hill Country Club on Tuesday to finish fifth at the Boston College Intercollegiate.
BU, which entered the day in third, combined for a final-round score of 310 and a 54-hole total of 919 (304-305-310). The Terriers were only eight shots back of the winner, Western Kentucky, and just five strokes behind second-place Boston College.
Senior Megan Carter fired a 77 on Tuesday to tie for seventh with a score of 226 (74-75-77). Carter sank eight birdies during the week and has now recorded seven straight rounds of 78 or lower. Junior Annie Sritragul, who tied for the lead in total pars made with 37, carded a 78 in her final round to finish in a tie for 13th at 228 (74-76-78).
Freshman Hanako Kawasaki recorded the Terriers' lowest round of the day with a 76 to finish tied for 19th at 230 (78-76-76). Kawasaki played the par-fives at -3 during the week, which ranked third, and also recorded an eagle. Junior Zhangcheng Guo recorded a 79 en route to a total of 239 (78-82-79), followed by sophomore Katerina Doleckova at 243 (82-78-83). Junior Abby Parsons played as an individual and finished at 252 (86-83-83).
The Terriers will conclude their fall schedule at the three-day Yale Intercollegiate, which begins on Oct. 5.
