BALTIMORE, Md. - Coming off its first road win of the season against the Patriot League preseason favorite, the Boston University women's basketball team will close out a two-game road trip with an afternoon tilt with Loyola. Tip-off from Reitz Arena is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and can be seen live on the Patriot League Network.

TERRIER TIDBITS

  • Following leading all scorers in each of BU's opening Patriot League games, senior guard Payton Hauck was honored by the Patriot League for the first time in her career she she was named the Player of the Week.
  • Hauck started off the week with a 14-point effort against Army West Point and followed by matching a season high with 20 points at Bucknell.
  • The senior was explosive in the third quarter in each contest, totaling 17 points to guide BU to its second 2-0 start in Patriot League play since joining the league.
  • Naiyah Thompson led the team in rebounding for two straight games as well, hauling down 12 boards against Bucknell after grabbing a career-best 13 against Army West Point last Wednesday.
  • Nia Irving leads the team in scoring (13.3), which ranks fifth in the league, and also leads the Terriers in rebounding (7.7), good for sixth among Patriot League leaders.
  • Lauren Spearman leads the Patriot League lead in 3-point field goals per game (2.9) and ranks second in minutes (36.2), right behind Katie Nelson (36.4).
  • The Terriers will rack up the miles during the Patriot League season, as it traveled 375 miles to Bucknell before continuing 136 miles to Loyola.
  • Round trip, BU's first road trip will cover 911 miles, 54 more miles than its total non-conference mileage.

SCOUTING LOYOLA MARYLAND

  • The Greyhounds are just 1-12 overall and have dropped their opening Patriot League contests, starting with a 58-46 defeat against Navy.
  • Most recently, Loyola surrendered a 14-1 run over the final 3:01 on Sunday to fall at Army West Point.
  • Reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year Isabella Therien is off to a strong sophomore campaign as she leads the team in scoring (10.4) and ranks second in rebounding (5.1).
  • Stephanie Karcz, the 2018 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, leads the league in steals per game (4.4) ranks fourth in the league in rebounding (10.4).
  • Bri Betz-White, who missed the entire 2017-18 season due to injury, has started all 13 games and ranks second on the squad with 10.2 points per game.

THE SERIES

  • BU had matched its longest streak in the series at three games before the Greyhounds snapped the streak in the last matchup, taking it 65-52.
  • Five of the 11 matchups in the series have been decided by 10 points or less.
  • Loyola has won three of the last four matchups at Reitz Arena.
