Women’s Basketball Opens 2025-26 Season Against Quinnipiac

BOSTON – The Boston University women's basketball program is set to begin the 2025-26 campaign with its home opener against Quinnipiac on Monday (Nov. 3). Opening tip from Case Gym is set for 6 p.m.
BU retains 13 letterwinners from a season ago while welcoming two newcomers to the fold. Senior Anastasiia Semenova, returning to the court after missing last year due to injury, as well as juniors Aoibhe Gormley, Audrey Ericksen and Bella McLaughlin will serve as team captains under fifth-year head coach Melissa Graves.
Quinnipiac enters 2025-26 following a 28-win season last year. The Bobcats return three of their top four scorers, all of whom garnered preseason All-MAAC honors.
Monday's game airs on ESPN+ with Brian Maurer, Jack Hughes and Caitlin Beal on the call. Live statistics and an audio-only broadcast are available on GoTerriers.com while the Patriot League provides an international stream.

- BU retains seven Terriers who made multiple starts in 2024-25.
- Sophomore Allison Schwertner, a Patriot League All-Rookie selection last year, is the Terriers' leading returning scorer after recording 8.2 points per game on over 46 percent shooting.
- Senior Anete Adler is back after averaging 8.1 points per game, including 11.7 points per game in her final nine contests last year.
- Overall, BU returns nearly 77 percent of its offense.

- On Wednesday (Oct. 29), the program announced the signing of Serena from Team IMPACT as its newest teammate.

- The Bobcats went 28-5 in 2024-25, reaching the MAAC championship and earning a postseason berth to the WBIT.
- This season, Quinnipiac was projected to finish second in the MAAC preseason poll.
- Anna Foley and Jackie Grisdale are the leading returning scorers for the Bobcats with 10.9 and 10.8 points per game, respectively. Both were Preseason All-MAAC First Team picks.
