HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lehigh coaxed BU into a timeout 2:43 into the contest after Reddy and Whitney Lind, who finished with 14 points, knocked down threes to establish an 8-2 lead for the visitors.
- The Terriers' first field goal didn't arrive until the 2:52 mark on Adler's layup. She scored BU's final six points in the quarter as the Terriers trailed 17-10.
- Her scoring streak went to 10 consecutive points via two additional layups to ignite the second quarter. Junior Bella McLaughlin then found sophomore Rose Azmoudeh in the corner for a fastbreak three-pointer to pull the Terriers within 21-17 as the clock read 7:17.
- Both teams combined for nine consecutive makes from the 4:52 mark to 1:52 in the frame, with McLaughlin's drive cutting the Mountain Hawk advantage to 33-25.
- Bramer got behind the defense for a pair of baskets from that point to stake Lehigh to a 37-25 halftime edge.
- Both teams traded baskets to open the third quarter. Senior Anastasiia Semenova scored six of BU's first eight points in the period, including a layup four minutes in to trim the gap to 41-33.
- However, the Mountain Hawks six consecutive shots, five from distance and eight points from Fandre, to expand their lead to 58-38 with 2:02 left in the third.
- Lehigh's largest lead of the day came after Lind drilled the sixth Mountain Hawk triple of the third quarter with 37 seconds on the timer for a 63-40 advantage.
- Junior Audrey Ericksen made a left-wing three-pointer at the 7:15 mark in the fourth quarter and a layup with 4:53 left in regulation to bring the Terriers within 18. Azmoudeh did so with her own triple less than 40 seconds later to make it 72-54.
- Gunnsteinsdóttir drove down the lane for a layup with 2:51 to play to slice the deficit to 16 points, but Reddy countered on the next Lehigh possession with a three to spurn any hopes of a Terrier comeback.
- BU shot 26-for-55 (47.3 percent) in the game, with three of its four three-pointers coming in the final quarter.
- Rebounds favored the Terriers, 30-26. Adler and Semenova each snagged seven caroms.
- BU outscored Lehigh in the paint, 42-32.
- The Mountain Hawks had 21 assists on 29 buckets. Gracyn Lovette posted eight for Lehigh.
- McLaughlin led the Terriers with five dishes.
- Adler eclipsed the 20-point plateau for the fifth time this season and sixth time in her career.
- BU allowed an opponent to shoot over 50 percent for the first time since Nov. 26 against Bryant.
