BOSTON – Honoring the 2026 graduating class in its penultimate regular season contest, the Boston University women's basketball program welcomes American to Case Gym on Saturday (Feb. 28). Opening tip is set for 11:30 a.m.

BU (9-18, 5-11 PL) enters the weekend one game in front of the Eagles (6-21, 4-12 PL) for eighth place in the Patriot League standings. The Terriers can finish as high as sixth with help from favorable results around the conference; a win on Saturday would guarantee a home game in the first round for BU should the Terriers earn a 7- or 8-seed.

The Eagles, who won the earlier matchup against the Terriers this season, are two games in front of Colgate for ninth and hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Raiders following their regular season sweep. American can finish no higher than eighth.

Prior to the game, the program will honor team manager Voula Dimitriadis and seniors Anete Adler and Anastasiia Semenova. The ceremony will begin at approximately 11:14 a.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS

BU sustained a 76-61 loss to Lehigh on Feb. 21 at Case Gym.
Despite shooting over 47 percent from the field, BU could not overcome the Mountain Hawks' .518 field goal percentage and 13 three-pointers.
Adler led all scorers with 24 points, matching her career high with 12 baskets.
In 59 career games in the Scarlet & White, Adler has averaged 10.1 points per game. She is enjoying her best season with 13.9 points per contest and 36 blocks.
Her .503 career field goal percentage as a Terrier is good for fourth in program history.
Semenova has appeared in 77 games to this point. This year, she has recorded 8.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game on 50.5 percent shooting, all career highs.
Her .479 career field goal percentage would slot into ninth place.
During conference play, Adler and Semenova are scoring 15.2 and 11.3 points per game. Those rank seventh and 14th, respectively, across the conference.

SCOUTING AMERICAN

The Eagles have lost eight of their last nine games, most recently falling to Lafayette, 56-41, on Feb. 21.
American's last win was against the Leopards on Jan. 31.
The Eagles are allowing 65 points per Patriot League game, last in the conference. However, they pace the league with a .793 free throw percentage in that span.
Three Eagles are scoring double figures during conference action. Molly Driscoll leads the contingent with 11.4 points per game.
Charlotte Tuhy is the lone Patriot League student-athlete averaging a double-double during Patriot League play at 11.2 points and 10.9 rebounds per game.

SERIES HISTORY

Saturday marks the 32nd all-time contest between BU and American.
The Eagles sport an 18-13 edge in the rivalry.
At home, BU is 10-4, winning seven meetings in a row.
