HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams combined for five turnovers in the first four minutes, which was when junior Bella McLaughlin split two defenders for BU's first basket of the game.
- The junior scored five more points in the final 43 seconds of the opening quarter to bring BU within 10-9 just before the buzzer.
- Senior Anastasiia Semenova's floater 31 seconds into the second frame gave BU an 11-10 lead, but the home side was held scoreless for the next six minutes before Azmoudeh canned a corner three to whittle Dartmouth's lead to 18-14.
- Monteagudo and Azmoudeh nailed threes on back-to-back possessions to get within one possession, but a free throw and Ozel's buzzer-beating triple gave the visitors a 27-20 halftime advantage.
- Sophomore Taylor Williams scored four points in the first five minutes of the third, including a triple from the left wing that sliced the Big Green lead to 33-26 halfway through the third.
- BU climbed within seven points again following Semenova's second-chance layup at the 3:02 mark, but MacDonald's three replenished the divide to double digits 90 seconds later.
- Schwertner made a layup, then Monteagudo laid in a basket on a cut that sophomore Hildur Gunnsteinsdóttir fed from the left block to make it 40-34 early in the fourth quarter.
- Dartmouth's defense prevented BU from hitting a field goal for nearly seven minutes however, growing its lead to as many as 12 points.
- Junior Audrey Ericksen nailed a three with 2:11 remaining in regulation, but Nina Minicozzi responded with a layup out of a timeout to create a 48-40 lead.
- Monteagudo nailed a three with under four seconds remaining, but Eldredge canned two free throws to seal the result before Azmoudeh's buzzer-beating three.
- BU shot just 30.7 percent in the first half compared to 37.9 percent in the final 20 minutes.
- Dartmouth made 37.8 percent of its shots, including a 7-for-22 clip from deep.
- The Terriers held the advantage in rebounds (36-32), paint points (22-14) and bench points (20-4).
- McLaughlin and senior Anete Adler each had six boards. Monteagudo dished out four assists.
- The Big Green turned 16 Terrier turnovers into 18 points while leading the game for nearly 33 minutes.
- Azmoudeh's nine points and three three-pointers are both career highs and her first in a Terrier uniform.
- Across BU's first two games, the Terrier defense has coaxed teams to shoot under 39 percent while turning the ball over 29 times.
- The Terrier bench has accounted for 36 points in that span.
- The all-time series remains in BU's favor, 13-11.
- The Terriers ignite a three-game road swing with a short trip to Northeastern on Tuesday (Nov. 11). Opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m.
