
Terriers to Host No. 9 Harvard Tuesday Night

The Boston University women's ice hockey team will host No. 9 Harvard on Tuesday night at Walter Brown Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Tuesday is Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night. BU faculty, staff and their guests can receive free admission to the game by presenting their BU ID at the ticket window.

HISTORY WITH HARVARD
- BU is 6-8-2 overall against Harvard, including a 2-2-1 record at Walter Brown.
- The Terriers are 3-0-1 in their last four meetings with the Crimson, including a 3-2 overtime win in last year's Beanpot title game.
- BU won the last non-Beanpot matchup between the two schools, earning a 4-3 overtime triumph over the Crimson on Nov. 22, 2016, at Bright-Landry Center.
- The Terriers and Crimson have not faced off at Walter Brown Arena since a Beanpot contest on Feb. 9, 2016.
LAST TIME AGAINST HARVARD
- Sammy Davis scored in overtime to give BU a 3-2 win in the 2019 Beanpot championship game at Bright-Landry Center.

- Harvard averages 5.00 goals per game, which ranks second in the nation.
- That offense is paced by junior Becca Gilmore, who leads the Crimson in assists (8) and points (10).
- Sophomore Anne Bloomer leads the squad with six goals.
- Sophomore goaltender Lindsay Reed is 4-0-0 with a .917 save percentage and a 2.49 goals-against average.
OFF TO FAST STARTS
- BU has scored the opening goal in 11 of its first 12 games this year.
- Only Wisconsin has struck first more often than BU.
- Freshman Julia Nearis and junior Kristina Schuler have each opened the scoring on four different occasions, which is tied for first in the NCAA.
- BU has also been good defensively to start, as it has allowed just five first-period goals; its average of 0.42 goals against in the opening 20 minutes is tied for 11th in the nation.
