The No. 8 Boston University women's ice hockey team will host Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon at Walter Brown Arena. Game time for this Turnpike Trophy clash is set for 3 p.m.

MORE THAN TWO POINTS UP FOR GRABS
- In addition to the pair of league points at stake, another point in the Turnpike Trophy series between BU and Holy Cross is also on the line on Saturday.
- The Terriers lead the annual series between the two schools, 7-1.
LOOKING BACK AT THE JANUARY SWEEP
- The Terriers outscored Holy Cross, 11-2, in a sweep of a home-and-home series in January.
- BU bested the Crusaders, 4-1, in Worcester on Jan. 18 before earning a 7-1 home win on Jan. 19.
- Those were the first two meetings between the two schools since BU became a varsity program in 2005-06.
HEAR ABOUT HOLY CROSS
- The Crusaders have lost seven straight games, including a 2-1 home defeat to Vermont on Feb. 3.
- Former Terrier assistant coach and current Holy Cross associate head coach Katie Lachapelle will take over as Holy Cross' head coach next season.
- Holy Cross' one win came against No. 3 Northeastern on Nov. 30.
- Junior Rachel Moore leads the Crusaders in goals (6), assists (7) and points (13), while senior Maeve Reilly also has six goals.
- Freshman Carlie Magier (5g, 5a) and senior Julie Matthias (4g, 6a) are tied for second with 10 points apiece.
- Freshman goaltender Jada Brenon has started 18 games, including each of the last four and eight of the last nine.
- She is 1-15-2 with a 3.94 goals-against average and a .893 save percentage.
- Sophomore Julia Pelletier started the Jan. 19 game at BU.
- She is 0-10-1 with a 4.83 goals-against average and an .878 save percentage.
TALKING ABOUT TUESDAY NIGHT
- BU advanced to the 2019 Beanpot final with a 2-1 shootout win over No. 3 Northeastern on Tuesday night at Harvard after the teams skated to a 3-3 tie.
- Senior Reagan Rust won the shootout with a goal in the fourth round after sophomore Corinne Schroeder denied a Northeastern shooter.
- After Schroeder kept the Terriers in it with a save in the third round, sophomore Nara Elia equalized with a pretty goal to keep the shootout going.
- Northeastern held three different one-goal leads, but the Terriers equalized on three different occasions, with sophomore Jesse Compher's goal early in the third period knotting the game at 3-3.
- Freshman Mackenna Parker and redshirt junior Sammy Davis both scored in the second stanza to send the game to the final 20 minutes with a 2-2 score.
- Davis added two assists for a three-point effort while Compher also had an assist on Tuesday.
- Juniors Abby Cook and Breanna Scarpaci each added an assist.
- Schroeder finished the game with 31 saves, including six in overtime.
QUITE THE STREAK FOR BU
- The Terriers enter the weekend with the longest active unbeaten streak in the nation at nine games.
- BU is 7-0-2 since Jan. 6, including a 3-0-0 mark at Walter Brown Arena.Â
INSIDE THE LAST NINE GAMES
- BU ranks first in the country in goals (42), assists (76) and points (118) since its nine-game unbeaten streak began on Jan. 6.
- The Terriers have averaged 4.67 goals per game during that time, which also ranks first among Division I teams.
- Going back to Dec. 30, the Terriers have only allowed 1.75 goals per game.
COMPHER KEEPS ROLLING
- Sophomore Jesse Compher enters this weekend ranked second in the nation with 33 assists and third in the country with 48 points.
- Tuesday against Northeastern was her 23rd game with an assist this season, more than any other skater in the NCAA.
- Compher has recorded at least one assist in an NCAA-best 82.1 percent of her games this year.
- She is also second in the country with eight multi-assist games this year.
- Compher is third in the NCAA and first in the WHEA with 1.18 assists per game.
- MORE ON COMPHER'S BIG YEAR
- Compher leads Hockey East and is third in the nation with 48 points (14g, 33a).
- She is currently on an nine-game point streak (4g, 12a) and has only been held without a point four times.
- In fact, Compher has only been kept off the score sheet just once in games that the Terriers have tallied at least one goal.
- No other NCAA player has recorded a point in more games (24) than Compher.
- An NCAA-high 28 of her 48 points have come away from home, including a nation-best 18 assists.
DAVIS DYNAMITE FOR TERRIERS
- Redshirt junior Sammy Davis enters Tuesday on a five-game point streak, having notched five goals and eight assists for 13 points during that span.
- She has recorded at least two points in all five of those tilts, highlighted by a Feb. 1 performance at Vermont when she matched career highs in both assists (3) and points (4).
- Davis has notched seven points (2g, 5a) over the last two games.
- BU is 10-0-6 this year when Davis scores a goal and 13-1-6 when she records at least one point.
- Davis ranks second in Hockey East and fifth in the nation with a career-high 40 points (19g, 21a), with her 19 goals good for third in the WHEA.
- She is one of just five players in the country with at least 40 points.
- Tuesday against Northeastern was the 15th different time that Davis tallied at least two points in a single game, fourth-most in the NCAA and second only behind Jesse Compher among league players.
QUITE THE DYNAMIC DUO
- Sophomore Jesse Compher and redshirt junior Sammy Davis are the highest-scoring pair of teammates in Hockey East, having combined for 88 points.
- Compher and Davis rank second among NCAA duos, behind only a Clarkson trio.
COOK CASHES IN
- Junior Abby Cook is currently on a six-game point streak thanks to her assist on Tuesday against Northeastern.
- She has notched seven points (1g, 6a) during that span.
- Cook has recorded a career-high seven goals in addition to 13 assists for 20 points this season, her second straight 20-point campaign.Â
