BOSTON – The Boston University women's ice hockey team travels to Maine for a weekend series at Alfond Arena on Friday and Saturday. Puck drop on Friday is set for 3 p.m. while Saturday's game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

In addition to both games being available on ESPN+, Saturday's game will be available on NESN.

TERRIER TIDBITS

Most recently, BU dropped a pair of games to No. 12 Northeastern.
Senior Clara Yuhn scored BU's lone goal on Friday and found the back of the net for BU's third goal on Saturday.
Junior Greta Henderson scored her first goal as a Terrier for BU's second goal on Saturday while Sydney Healey scored the lamplighter.
Freshman Lucy Thiessen registered an assist on Friday and graduate student Michelle Pasiechnyk, sophomore Kaileigh Quigg and seniors Riley Walsh and Lilli Welcke all recorded assists on Saturday.
Pasiechnyk's assist was her first as a Terrier and the third of her career.
The Terriers' faceoff win percentage of 0.528 is third in Hockey East.
BU's two shorthanded goals lead Hockey East and are second in the NCAA.
Li. Welcke leads the Terriers in faceoff wins with 103, which ranks second in Hockey East and 29th in the NCAA.
S. Healey's points per game of 1.00 and goals per game of 0.50 is fourth in the league.
The senior leads BU in goals (4), assists (4) and points (8).
Pasiechnyk's save percentage (.911) is ranked eighth in Hockey East while junior Mari Pietersen's (.887) is 13th.

SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS

Maine is 2-6-1 overall and 0-1-1 in Hockey East play.
At home, the Black Bears are 2-1-0.
Maine most recently went 0-1-1 in a weekend series at Providence, losing 3-2 in overtime and tying 1-1 in a shootout loss.
Maine's most recent win came against then-No. 8 Colgate, 2-1, on Oct. 18.
The Black Bears own one shutout which came against Saint Anselm, 3-0.
Maine has been shut out twice, both of which occurred against No. 1 Wisconsin in 5-0 outcomes.
The Black Bears are 1-6-0 against ranked opponents and notably took then-No. 10 Quinnipiac to overtime on Sept. 27, losing 4-3.

SERIES HISTORY VS. MAINE

BU is 37-22-4 all time against Maine with a 18-10-1 record at Alfond Arena.
BU swept the Maine series in 2024-25, winning 2-1, 2-0 and 3-1.
The last time Maine defeated BU was on Feb. 9, 2024, in a 3-1 decision at Walter Brown Arena.
The Terriers and the Black Bears last went to overtime on Jan. 20, 2023, when they tied 3-3 before BU won the shootout at Alfond Arena.
BU has not won more than three consecutive games against Maine since 2016 when BU was on a five-game winning streak.
