
Terriers Complete Round Two of Pinehurst Intercollegiate

PINEHURST, N.C. - The Boston University golf team competed in the second round of the 54-hole Pinehurst Intercollegiate on Thursday at Pinehurst No. 8.
BU remained in third with a 36-hole score of 650 (324-326) thanks to Thursday's 326. UNC Asheville is first at 638 (321-317) and St. John's is in second with a total of 643 (323-320). The Terriers are seven shots clear of fourth-place Yale (327-330--657).
Freshman Hanako Kawasaki followed yesterday's 77 with an 81 on Thursday to finish tied for fourth with a score of 158, six shots back of the leader. Kawasaki is one stroke ahead of junior Zhangcheng Guo, who carded the Terriers' low round of the day with a 78 for a 36-hole total of 159 (81-78). Junior Abby Parsons is tied for 12th at 163 (82-81), followed by senior Megan Carter (84-86--170). Playing as an individual, sophomore Katerina Doleckova is tied for 19th at 171 (87-84). Junior Saeros Oskarsdottir (94-91--185) also competed.
The Terriers lead the field in par-3 scoring (3.09) and par-4 scoring (4.63) this week. They are also second in par-5 scoring (5.66).
BU will begin Friday's final round at 8:30 a.m.
