SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Playing the first of two matches in New York, Boston University men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Bucknell on Saturday afternoon at the Drumlins Country Club.
Capturing three points in three-sets, including the clincher in tiebreak fashion, the Bison improve to 12-11 and 5-2 in conference play, as the Terriers (7-15, 2-4 PL) suffered their third one-point defeat of the season.

- Sophomore Ethan Kolsky and freshman Max Stehling posted a 6-4 victory at line 3 in doubles, while Bucknell posted a 6-3 win in the No. 2 slot to put the first point up for grabs.
- Sophomores David Bogatin and Owen Lu captured the doubles point by edging the Bison, 7-6(3), in a tiebreaker at line 1.
- Bogatin carried momentum from the thrilling doubles win to a dominating 6-3, 6-1 victory in the top singles match.
- Junior Marc Sable dropped just five games with a 6-3, 6-2 win in the No. 6 slot for BU's final point of the game.
- The Bison began the comeback with a 6-4, 6-2 win at line 3 to snap sophomore Pete Siozios' six-match win streak.
- Both Lu (#2) and freshman Stehling (#5) rallied to force a third set but ultimately came up short to put the score at 3-3.
- Bucknell's Andrei Vitiuc bounced back after winning just two games in the first set to edge Hartenstein in the No. 4 and final match, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6(6).
- The Terriers will next visit the Raiders on Sunday (April 14).
- BU last met and defeated Colgate in the 2017 Patriot League quarterfinals, 4-0.
