
Bogatin Claims Academic All-Patriot League Team Honors

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – After helping lead the Boston University men's tennis team to a semifinal appearance in the Patriot league tournament and earning a GPA above 3.20, sophomore David Bogatin has earned Academic All-Patriot League Team honors, the conference office announced Wednesday morning.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Bogatin has been successful in the classroom, posting a 3.53 GPA while majoring in business administration and management. He was named to the 2018 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll his freshman season.
On the court, he led the Terriers with 14 singles win for the year, including a 3-1 mark at No. 1 singles. After collecting five wins at line 2, he moved up to the top spot a week before the start of the PL tournament. He then claimed a pair of straight-set victories against fellow All-PL First Team member Ethan Jacobs from Bucknell and most impressively dropped just seven games against the 2019 PL Player of the Year, Navy's Andrew Ton, in the PL semifinals. He also recorded notable wins at line 2 against Boston College, UAB and Siena, while also tallying 11 wins in doubles.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
