September 20, 2019 | Men's Cross Country
BOSTON – The Boston University men's cross country team competed at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Friday afternoon at Franklin Park.
Two Terrier harriers finished in the top 60 to help BU finish 18th as a team with a total of 423 points.
Redshirt junior Brett Davidson led the Terriers with a 56th-place performance in the 8K race, crossing the finish line in 25:22. Freshman Foster Malleck placed 60th with a time of 25:26, followed by junior Jonathon Fierro in 94th.
Senior Paul Luevano (26:15) and sophomore Joe Grandizio (26:16) were 110th and 113th, respectively, to round out the Terrier scorers. Freshman Kevin Murphy (26:37), senior Greg Pelose (26:37) and sophomore Marcel Aubry (26:38) all finished the race together, with freshman Charlie Hammel (27:00) and junior Logan Broedner (27:01) also competing.
"It wasn't our best day, but it's not indicative of what we're capable of doing," head coach Paul Spangler said. "I thought Brett did a good job and Jonathan once again stepped up as well and continued his strong season."
The Terriers will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5, when they travel to Lehigh for the Paul Short Run.
