Jacobs-Townsley Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Freshman Sophia Jacobs-Townsley of the Boston University women's cross country team was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Jacobs-Townsley was the top-placing Patriot League freshman at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Friday at Franklin Park, crossing the finish line in 41st place with a 5K time of 18:17.3. It is the second straight race in which Jacobs-Townsley has been the top BU rookie; she finished fifth in her collegiate debut at the Harry Lang Invitational with a 4.8K time of 17:31.7.
BU will return to competition on Saturday, Oct. 5, when the Terriers travel to Lehigh for the Paul Short Run.
