HOW IT HAPPENED
- Holy Cross started the contest well, but Stuart made five saves in the opening six minutes to keep the game scoreless.
- Correia opened the scoring with 3:22 remaining in the first frame. Stationed at center ice, Tarnowski chipped the puck up to Parker, who skated up the right wing and forced a pad save out of Jada Brenon (35 saves). Correia crashed the net and knocked home the rebound for her fifth marker of the season.
- Davis made it 2-0 just 1:21 into the second stanza when she collected a pass from Allan at the Crusader blue line, split two defenders and deftly slid a backhander past Brenon.
- Wuthrich extended the lead to 3-0 just 2:30 later. Blinkhorn kept the puck alive in the offensive zone and eventually got it to Donnelly, who evaded a defender below the goal line and quickly fed Wuthrich in front. Wuthrich made no mistake for her second strike of the season.
- Davis closed the period just like she started, this time scoring on a power play at the 18:21 mark. Cook began the sequence at the top of the zone, dishing the puck to Compher in the left circle. Compher slid a pass across to Davis at the other dot, where she collected the puck and whistled it past Brenon.
- Holy Cross took advantage of a power-play chance to score its lone goal of the game at 1:02 of the final frame.
