Women's Basketball Travels to Navy for Wednesday Night Matchup

BOSTON - Aiming for its third straight win against Navy, the Boston University women's basketball team will head back out on the road to take on the Mids on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m. and can be seen live on the Patriot League Network.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • Maren Durant was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Monday after posting her first career double-double while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor against Colgate.
  • Durant averaged 6.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game for the week.
  • This marks the fifth time a Terrier has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week.
  • Sydney Johnson has been stellar off the bench the last two games, averaging 17.0 points per game while shooting 52.0 percent from the floor.
  • Riley Childs leads the team in rebounding (7.6), which ranks seventh in the Patriot League, while Nia Irving is right behind (5.4).
  • Childs has upped her average to 8.8 rebounds per game in conference play.
  • Maggie Pina ranks second on the team with 10.6 points per game and is the leading freshman scorer in the Patriot League.
  • Katie Nelson leads the team with 14.0 points per game, which ranks fifth in the Patriot League.
SCOUTING NAVY
  • Navy has dropped its last nine games to fall to 5-12 overall and is winless in conference play at 0-6.
  • Four of the Mids' five wins have come at Alumni Hall.
  • Jennifer Coleman leads the team in scoring with 10.4 points per game, but has not seen the floor in six games.
  • Morgan Taylor is the team's leading rebounder (5.0) and ranks fourth in the Patriot League with 1.6 steals per game.
  • Mary Kate Ulasewicz is the only Mid who has started all 17 games and leads the team with 3.3 assists per game.
THE SERIES
  • BU swept Navy for the first time ever last year, winning both games by an average of 12.5 points.
  • The sweep also marked the first time the Terriers took two straight matchups against the Mids, breaking a five-game skid.
