WATERTOWN, Mass. – Playing its first of three home matches, the Boston University men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to St. John's on Saturday evening at the Mount Auburn Club.
The Red Storm (9-2) won two doubles matches and claimed the first three singles points against the Terriers (2-3) to win their fifth match of the year without surrendering a point.

- St. John's opened doubles with a 6-2 win at line 2 and then held off juniors David Bogatin and Owen Lu, 6-4, in the top slot for the 1-0 advantage.
- The Red Storm followed up with a 6-4, 6-0 win at line 5 to start singles action.
- Ranked No. 40 nationally, Aditya Vashistha held off Bogatin in a tightly-contested 7-6, 6-4 decision to extend the lead to 3-0.
- Sophomore Max Hartenstein rallied from a set down to force a third but ultimately came up short, 6-1, 5-7, 6-1 at line 4.
- The Terriers will visit the Bulldogs on Sunday (Feb. 16) for a 1 p.m. start.
- Bryant won last year's meeting, 6-1, at home.
