ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Opening its three-match road trip in the Sunshine State, the Boston University men's tennis team battled James Madison to the end in a tightly-contested 4-3 loss at Sanlando Park.
With their third straight win, the Dukes improve to 6-4, while the Terriers drop to 3-8. JMU won two doubles matches for the first point and claimed only one of its three singles points in straight sets.

- JMU won at lines 2 and 3 in doubles by identical scores of 6-2 for the 1-0 advantage.
- Junior Ethan Kolsky knotted things up with a 7-5, 6-1 victory at line 6 in singles.
- The Dukes though held off sophomore Max Hartenstein at No. 2 (6-4, 6-4) and junior David Bogatin in the top slot, 6-4, 4-6, 6-0, to push their lead to 3-1.
- Junior Pedro Gutierrez won his first set, but William Karpinski rallied to clinch the team win, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, at line 5.
- Junior Owen Lu won his third set tiebreaker to hand BU another point in the No. 3 slot with a 7-6(10, 4-6, 10-4 victory.
- Classmate Pete Siozios was also victorious at line 4 in a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory to put the final deficit at 4-3.
- BU will next face off against Creighton on Thursday (March 12) in Orlando at 12 p.m.
