Women's Rowing Ends Fall Slate Victorious at Foot of the Charles

BOSTON – Carrying momentum from its strong performance at the Head of the Charles, the Boston University women's rowing team concluded the fall schedule with two victories at the Foot of the Charles on Saturday morning.

Competing against a field of 28 crews, the top varsity eight boat won the timed event at 13:21.93. The Terriers were able to beat the top openweight boats from rivals Northeastern (13:27.48), Harvard (13:33.58), Boston College (13:37.43) and Rhode Island (13:57.02) with the BU lightweights finishing runner-up at 13:24.26.

BU's lone varsity four boat earned the other win with a time of 15:58.60 to defeat Harvard's lightweight (16:25.77) and novice boats (18:27.84).

The Terriers had two other openweight boats row down the Charles in the eights with the second varsity finishing ninth (13:56.57) and the third placing 21st (14:35.35).

BU will next focus on winter training and prepare for the spring racing schedule.
