
Women's Tennis Cruises to 7-0 Win at Bryant

CUMBERLAND, R.I. – Claiming its second shutout in three matches, the Boston University cruised to a 7-0 victory at Bryant on Sunday afternoon.
The Terriers (2-1) captured all six singles points in straight sets and won the three doubles matches by a combined score of 19-10 for the sweep.

- Freshman Victoria Carlsten and senior Emily Kim started off at No. 2 doubles with a 6-1 victory.
- BU won the other two matches by two games apiece with sophomore Erica Di Battista and junior Shelly Yaloz earning a 7-5 win in the top slot.
- Senior Lily Burchell and freshman Kaitlin Tan defeated the Bulldogs at line 3, 6-4.
- Carlsten carried momentum into the top singles match with an impressive 6-1, 6-2 victory against 2019 All-NEC First Team honoree Ada Boru.
- DiBattista dropped just four games in a 6-1, 6-3 victory in No. 2 singles against fellow Canadian, Sarah Hickey.
- Kim (#3), senior Katya Martens (#4), Burchell (#5) and sophomore Steph Nguyen (#6) all won in straight sets and dropped between 6-9 games.
- BU will next face the Huskies on Saturday (March 20) at the Magic Lincer Tennis Academy in Manchester, Connecticut.
- The Huskies won the last meeting, 4-3, in 2018.
