MANCHESTER, Conn. – With the final point up for grabs, senior Katya Martens rallied in a three-set thriller to help the Boston University women's tennis team claim a 4-3 victory at UConn on Saturday evening.
With the help of four singles points, the Terriers improve to 3-1, while the Huskies drop to 4-2. UConn captured a hard-fought doubles point by a combined score of 19-12 and two singles points in straight sets before BU prevailed in the end.

- UConn pulled out a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles and 6-4 victory in the No. 3 slot to grab the 1-0 lead.
- The Huskies edged sophomore Erica Di Battista and junior Shelly Yaloz, 7-6, in a tiebreaker to complete the doubles sweep.
- Freshman Kaitlin Tan dominated in singles and won all 12 games played for the 6-0, 6-0 victory at line 3.
- Di Battista claimed a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles, and senior Lily Burchell coasted in the second set after winning her first-set tiebreaker in the No. 6 slot for the 7-6, 6-0 victory.
- UConn defeated freshman Victoria Carlsten (#1), 6-4, 6-1, and held off senior Emily Kim (#4), 7-5, 6-3, to put the score at 3-3.
- Martens lost the first set at line 5 before rebounding in a hard-fought 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win.
- The Terriers will host the Warriors on Friday, April 2, with doubles action set to begin at 1 p.m. at the Track & Tennis Center.
