
Terriers Victorious Again at Hartford Invitational

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. - The Boston University golf team earned its fourth victory of the season at the Hartford/Gillette Ridge Invitational on Sunday at Gillette Ridge GC.
BU posted a score of 312 to earn a 12-stroke win over second-place Quinnipiac (324). BU has now posted three first-place finishes in tournament play in addition to its victory over Holy Cross this past Thursday. This is also the second time the Terriers have won a Hartford Invitational this year, as they won the event at Tumble Brook CC on April 9.
Junior Hanako Kawasaki and sophomore Alice Fan each shot 76 to tie for second place, just three shots behind the winner. Graduate student Zhangcheng Guo carded a 77 to tie for fourth with sophomore Kristen Min Ju Kim, who played as an individual. Freshman Flair Kuan recorded an 83 to tie for 12th while sophomore Monica Yu posted an 87 to tie for 19th.
Fan has finished in the top five in four of her five events this year, while Kawasaki and Guo each have three top-fives on their resumés this year.
The Terriers will now turn their attention to the 54-hole Patriot League Championship on April 24 and 25 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. BU is the reigning champion, having won the program's second Patriot League title in 2019.
