Terriers Defeat BC and URI, Fall to Northeastern

BOSTON - The Boston University women's openweight rowing team continued it busy weekend on Sunday, taking on crews from Northeastern, BC and URI.
The BU varsity eight, coxed by Mia Ball and stroked by Megan Mastrorilli, defeated boats from URI and Boston College but fell to Northeastern in a race for the Council Cup.
The second varsity eight boat, coxed by Christina Lamagna and stroked Tiare Hicks, handily won its race, defeating URI, NU and BC by open water.
The varsity four, coxed by Kellyann Reidy and stroked by Tess Ravick, finished fourth in its race while the second varsity four, coxed by Heidi Cook and stroked by Lily Kelly, finished second in a three boat race against just BC.
This weekend's racing was the final test for the Terriers before the team competes at the Patriot League Championship in Cherry Hill, N.J. on May 14.
