Terriers Move Up to Sixth on Day Two of Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - Led by senior Hanako Kawasaki's 3-under 69, the Boston University women's golf team recorded a 292 in the second round of the Byron National Collegiate on Monday to move up to sixth place at the Bryan Park Champions Course.
The Terriers enter Tuesday's final round just three strokes behind fifth-place UCF and one stroke ahead of NC State. Tournament co-host Wake Forest sits in first place with an 11-shot lead over second-place Campbell.
Kawasaki was one of only two players who shot under 70 on Monday. She jumped up 22 spots in the individual standings and currently sits in a tie for 12th at +1. Sophomore Flair Kuan fired a 74 and sits at even-par through two rounds, good for a tie for 10th.
Freshman Christy Chen improved three strokes from day one and scored a 73. She is tied for 30th at +5. Junior Monica Yu is five strokes back of Chen in a tie for 42nd after recording a 76, which was two strokes better than Sunday. Junior Alice Fan turned in a 79 on Monday and sits in 47th place.
Freshman Victoria Takai shot a 73 in round two and leads the 12 players who are playing as individuals at +4.
