Kawasaki, Kuan Finish Under Par as Terriers Place Sixth at Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - Senior Hanako Kawasaki and sophomore Flair Kuan both finished under par to help the Boston University women's golf team place sixth at the three-round Bryan National Collegiate that finished on Tuesday at Bryan Park Champions Course.
Kawasaki and Kuan tied for 10th in the individual standings at -1 following rounds of 70 and 71, respectively, on Tuesday. Freshman Christy Chen finished 31st at +9 while junior Alice Fan was two strokes back in a tie for 33rd, moving up 14 places after shooting an even par in the final round.
Junior Monica Yu was +15 for the tournament, putting her in a tie for 46th, and freshman Victoria Takai was +11, which tied for the best among those competing individually.
Tournament co-host Wake Forest finished first with an impressive score -14, which was 13 strokes ahead of second-place Charlotte. UCF, Old Dominion and Campbell all tied for third at +8 and the Terriers finished three strokes in front of seventh-place NC State.
BU will return to action in two weeks when they compete at the Yale Invitational on Oct. 9-10.
