Stuart Named to National Goalie of the Year Award Watch List

BOSTON - Senior Kate Stuart of the Boston University women's ice hockey team has been named to the watch list for the 2022 National Women's Goalie of the Year Award, as announced by the Hockey Commissioners Association on Thursday.
Stuart has been terrific for the Terriers this season. She owns a .924 save percentage to go along with a 2.18 goals-against average in 14 starts. Most recently, Stuart made a career-best 44 saves against No. 3 Northeastern on Jan. 15. She was also impressive in her first start of the year when she recorded 35 stops in a 2-1 win over the then-No. 2 Huskies on Oct. 8. Stuart has recorded six games where she allowed just one goal, going 4-1-1 in those contests. She also owns a .926 save percentage in league play. The Chilliwack, B.C., native is 18-9-6 through her career at BU, posting a 1.87 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage.
BU will return to action on Friday when the Terriers face No. 3 Northeastern at Matthews Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m., with the game to be televised live on NESN.
