Terriers, Fan Post Runner-Up Finishes at Sacred Heart Fall Open

MILFORD, Conn. - Paced by a runner-up finish from senior Alice Fan, the Boston University women's golf team placed second among 10 teams at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic, which wrapped up on Monday at Great River Golf Club.

The Terriers, who won the title at this tournament last season, finished with a 607, 13 strokes behind behind the host Pioneers.

In addition to Fan, BU had two more individuals finish in the top 10 as sophomore Christy Chen placed fifth and junior Flair Kuan tied for eighth in the two-round tournament.

This marked Fan's career-best finish for a multi-round tournament as she finished tied for second in the 2021 Hartford/Gillette Ridge Invitational, which consisted of just one round.

Senior Monica Yu recorded an 81 on Monday while sophomore Victoria Takai turned in an 85. Senior Kristen Min Ju Kim and sophomore Andrea Balaguer each shaved three strokes off their Sunday rounds and and posted an 80 and 84, respectively.

The Terriers will wrap up their fall schedule on Oct. 24-25 when they compete in the Terrier Invitational hosted by Wofford at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C.
