Women's Rowing Races Two Crews On Sunday At The Head Of The Charles

BOSTON – The Boston University women's rowing program wrapped up its time at the 57th Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday (Oct. 23), with both of its championship crews posting top-20 finishes.
The Championship Four boat, coxed by sophomore Audrey Lucerne and stroked by senior Tiare Hicks, completed the course in 17:51.808 for a sixth-place result out of 14 crews. BU, recording the fourth-fastest time among collegiate crews, finished ahead of crews such as Princeton, Northeastern, and Dartmouth.
The Championship Eight crew, coxed by junior Trisha Jaggi and stroked by classmate Bianca Saffirio, placed 19th out of 29 crews in a time of 16:03.074. The Terriers finished ahead of crews such as Clemson, Dartmouth, and Navy.
BU had one alumni boat race on the afternoon, pairing up with select men's rowing graduates in the Director's Challenge Mixed Eight. The Terrier contingent was 13th with an official time of 17:12.105.
BU closes out its fall races with the Foot of the Charles, which is scheduled for Saturday (Nov. 12).
