Terriers Sit in Seventh After Opening Round of Edisto Island Invitational

EDISTO ISLAND, S.C. - The Boston University women's golf team sits in seventh place after shooting a 304 (+20) the opening round of the Edisto Island Invitational on Saturday at the Plantation Course.
Tournament host College of Charleston sits in first at +9, 11 strokes ahead of the Terriers in the 14-team field. Sophomore Christy Chen shot a 72 (+1) with four birdies to lead the way for BU and is currently three strokes off the individual lead.
Senior Monica Yu tied her collegiate best with a 74 (+3), including three birdies, and will enter Monday in a tie for 12th place. Junior Flair Kuan is in a tie for 25th after recording a 76 (+5) while senior Alice Fan contributed BU's fourth score with an 82 (+11) and senior Kristen Min Ju Kim carded an 84 (+13).
Monday's second round will start at 10 a.m.
