Terriers in Ninth Place After Day 1 of Columbia Classic

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Boston University women's golf team opened competition at the Columbia Classic on Sunday and sits in ninth place after two rounds at Duran Golf Club.
Sophomore Flair Kuan is tied for eighth place on the individual leaderboard at even par following rounds of 74 and 70. Senior Hanako Kawasaki is tied for 23rd at plus-5 and junior Alice Fan is just outside the top 50 at plus-12.
BU posted a team score of 304 in each round and will be looking to jump ahead of two Big Ten schools on day two as Purdue is eighth, seven strokes ahead of the Terriers, and Northwestern is 11 strokes ahead of BU in seventh place.
The final round will take place on Monday (Feb. 14).
