TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU snapped a two-game losing streak by defeating Bucknell 69-51 on Senior Day last Saturday (Feb. 26).
- The Terriers trailed for just 2:32 the entire game, and outscored the Bison in every quarter while shooting over 49 percent from the field.
- Junior Sydney Johnson dropped a team-high 21 points, her eighth game this season with 20-plus points. Sophomore Caitlin Weimar added 13 points and nine rebounds.
- BU honored seniors Riley Childs and Chiara Tibbitt in a pregame ceremony, and both appeared in the starting lineup.
- BU has earned a top-three seed in the upcoming tournament, with seeds 4-10 already finalized. BU, Holy Cross, and American are the lone teams that have yet to clinch a seed. The Eagles play Lafayette at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
- To earn the No. 1 seed and a share of the regular season championship, the Terriers need a win over the Crusaders. BU would win the head-to-head tiebreaker with Holy Cross, 2-0. If the Terriers AND American win, BU wins the multiple team tiebreaker between the three teams thanks to a 3-1 record over the Crusaders and Eagles.
- To earn the No. 2 seed, BU AND American would have to lose. The Terriers win the tiebreaker in that scenario thanks to its 2-0 record over 4-seed Bucknell. Should BU and American lose, and Bucknell win, the Terriers' 3-1 record against both teams secures the second seed for BU.
- To earn the No. 3 seed, the Terriers would have to lose AND American would have to win, giving Holy Cross the No. 1 seed and American the No. 2 seed.
- In its last 65 Patriot League regular season games, the Terriers are 45-20.
- Wednesday marks BU's 600th conference game in program history. The Terriers are 312-287 (.520) against league opponents.
- Of BU's 16 victories, 13 have come by double digits.
SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
- Bucknell enters the matchup with a 19-9 record, including 13-4 in Patriot League play.
- The Crusaders clinched their share of a Patriot League regular season championship with a 73-59 win over Army West Point on Feb. 26. Their previous regular season championship came in 2004-05.
- Holy Cross needs a win to capture the No. 1 seed and the regular season title outright.
- Avery LaBarbera paces the Crusaders with 16 points 9.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, ranking second in the league with 17.5 points per PL contest.
- Cara McCormack and Janelle Allen average 8.7 and 8.5 points per Patriot League game.
SERIES HISTORY
- Wednesday marks the 33rd all-time meeting between BU and Holy Cross.
- The Crusaders sport the 19-13 advantage, but the Terriers have won seven of the last eight contests.
- In the first game on Feb. 16 at Case Gym, BU was victorious, 74-56. Holy Cross had a 19-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, but BU outscored the visitors 65-37 from that point, limiting the Crusaders to 25 percent shooting in the final three quarters.
- Giannaros and Tibbitt each had 16 points, the latter establishing a new career-high. Durant posted 14 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks.
- The two sides have faced off in March twice before, with each team winning by two points.
LOOKING AHEAD
