BOSTON – After finishing up its fourth consecutive regular season with double-digit league victories, the third-seeded Boston University women's basketball program enters the postseason with hopes of winning its first Patriot League title, and hosts No. 6 Army West Point in the quarterfinal round on Monday (Mar. 7). Opening tip is set for 6 p.m.
BU captured the third seed with a 12-6 record in league action. The 12 wins equals a single-season program record for Patriot League victories, also reached in 2019-20. The Terriers look to advance to the Patriot League semifinals for the third consecutive season.
Army slotted into sixth place in the league with its 10-8 record, the most wins in league play for the Black Knights since 2016-17.
The first 50 students to the game will receive a free BU t-shirt, and all students can take part in a free Raising Cane's tailgate, while supplies last.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU secured the third seed following a 59-48 loss at Holy Cross on Wednesday (Mar. 2).
- The Terriers totaled a season-low two assists, allowing the Crusaders to shoot over 58 percent from three-point range.
- Freshman Alex Giannaros led the team with 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting from deep. Junior Maren Durant added a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double.
- Classmate Sydney Johnson recorded 13 points and three steals, while sophomore Caitlin Weimar posted 12 boards.

- This season, Army paces the Patriot League in rebounding. The Black Knights rank 25th and 30th in Division I, respectively, with 14.8 offensive rebounds and 41.1 boards per game.
SERIES HISTORY
- Monday marks the 25th meeting all-time between BU and Army West Point.
