Terriers Within Striking Distance After First Round of Patriot League Championship

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Boston University women's golf team sits in fourth place after the opening round of the 2022 Patriot League Championship, held at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course.

Lehigh put up a 304 and leads the six-team field at +16 while tournament host Navy is two strokes behind at +18 (306). Richmond is third at +23 (311) and the Terriers are +25 (313).

BU was paced in the first round by sophomore Flair Kuan, who shot a 76 (+4) and sits in a tie for fourth. Senior Hanako Kawasaki is a stroke back at +5, tied for seventh, and freshman Victoria Takai shot an opening-round 79 (+7). The fourth Terrier to be part of the team score was junior Kristen Min Ju Kim, who recorded a nine-over 81.

Freshman Christy Chen is +10 after posting an 82 on Friday while junior Alice Fan shot and 84 and is +12.

The second of three rounds will take place on Saturday (April 16) with Fan starting things off for the Terriers at 8:30 a.m.
