Terriers to Race Northeastern, Rhode Island Saturday Morning

BOSTON – In the final home race of the spring schedule, the Boston University women's rowing team will race both Northeastern and Rhode Island Saturday morning on the Charles River.
The varsity eight boats will start off the competition at 9:20 a.m. with FloSports broadcasting the races. The second varsity eight boats will follow at 9:50 a.m. with the varsity four and second varsity four races taking place back-to-back at 10:20 and 10:30 a.m., respectively. The third varsity eight will wrap up at 10:50 a.m.
BU started the new year with a sweep over fellow Patriot League member MIT. The Terriers then won the top two varsity eight races against both Boston College and Eastern Michigan this past weekend with the V8 earning PL Boat of the Week honors.
Northeastern's V8 claimed CAA Boat of the Week honors after defeating both PL member Navy and Columbia. Last spring, the Huskies defeated the Terriers by nine seconds and URI by 12 seconds. BU won the 2V8 by seven seconds, and URI won the V4 by more than 14 seconds.
