BU Giving Day is Here!

BOSTON - Boston University Giving Day is back, as the 24-hour online fundraising initiative is taking place today (April 6).
All gifts to BU Athletics on Giving Day will be wide-reaching, empowering the next generation of leaders and making an impact on the day-to-day experience of current Terrier student-athletes.
Terrier Nation has come together to contribute more than $1,000,000 in each of the past four Giving Days, as alumni, parents and friends have come through year in and year out to support BU's varsity programs.
This year's Athletics Challenges include:
Athletics Young Alumni Participation Challenge (Classes 2012-21): Each team that receives a total number of new* gifts from their program's young alumni from the past 10 years, equal to or greater than the size of the current team roster, will receive a share of a bonus. Example: The women's basketball team has 12 student-athletes on their roster. In order to receive a share of the bonus, 12 women's basketball young alumnae will need to contribute as part of Giving Day.
*Defined as not having given yet during fiscal year 2022 (July 1, 2021 – today)
Team Revenue Head-to-Head Challenge: Each varsity program will be matched up against another team, with the team that raises the most in each matchup earning a bonus.
*New* We Want You Back Challenge: Have we missed you recently? It's important to our teams and we want you back! Athletics alumni who renew their gift or make a contribution of $25+ for the first time ever will have the first $25 of their gift matched.
That's twice the support! First come, first served. A maximum of $10,000 will be matched toward this challenge.
Individual Varsity Team Challenges: Donor opportunities to sponsor dollar-for-dollar individual varsity team challenges beginning at $10,000+ to encourage leadership level support from alumni, parents and friends.
This yearly initiative has proven to be incredibly impactful to BU student-athletes and teams. With your help, we look forward to another record-breaking day.
