Terriers Stand in Second after Opening Day of Hoya Invitational

ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Boston University women's golf team opened play at the Hoya Invitational on Saturday with 36 holes and will enter Sunday's final round in second place, eight strokes behind leader Princeton.
Played at the Woodmont Country Club North Course, the tournament features 13 teams with the Terriers currently ahead of teams such as Harvard, Quinnipiac, Penn, Yale and host Georgetown.
Freshman Christy Chen is currently fifth (77-72–149, +5), senior Hanako Kawasaki is tied for eighth (76-75–151, +7) and freshman Victoria Takai is tied for 10th (79-73–152, +8).
Junior Alice Fan (82-77--159) and sophomore Flair Kuan (77-82--159) are tied for 34th at 15-over while junior Kristen Min Ju Kim came out firing as an individual, shooting a 75-78--153 (+9) to stand in a tie for 13th.
The third and final round will take place on Sunday (April 10), beginning at 9 a.m.
