BOSTON – The Boston University women's rowing team continued its season Saturday on the Charles River, winning three of its four races against Boston College while claiming a three-race sweep over Eastern Michigan.

Senior coxswain Mia Ball and junior stroke seat Kat Robbins led the Terriers to their first win of the day with an open water victory in the varsity eight. BU posted a time of 6:47.8, ahead of second place Eastern Michigan (6:56.6) and third place Boston College (7:01.5).

The second varsity eight, coxed by sophomore Trisha Jaggi and stroked by junior Tiare Hicks, helped the team to its second open water win of the day at 6:59.5. Boston College and Eastern Michigan finished the course with times of 7:04.1 and 7:21.3, respectively.

BU took the top two spots in the second varsity four event. Junior coxswain Kellyann Reidy and senior stroke seat Lily Kelly helped their boat across the line first (7:59.8) followed by the Terriers' boat coxed by freshman Kennedy Walker and stroked by freshman Sonya Carson (8:11.0). Boston College finished third with a time of 8:20.7.

In the most competitive event of the day, freshman coxswain Audrey Lucerne and freshman stroke seat Sally Thoden helped their boat to a second-place finish in the varsity four event (8:00.5), half a second behind Boston College. Eastern Michigan finished well behind for third at 8:40.1.

The Terriers will remain home at the DeWolfe Boathouse and return to action next Saturday (April 16) to face Northeastern and Rhode Island on the Charles River.
