Men's Ice Hockey Announces 2022-23 Schedule

July 18, 2022

BOSTON - Highlighted by home games against Notre Dame and Cornell, as well as trips to Michigan and Arizona State, the Boston University men's ice hockey team announced its 2022-23 schedule on Monday.

BU will play 34 regular-season games in addition to a pair of exhibition contests. Fourteen of those regular-season tilts will take place at Agganis Arena, including a Nov. 23 game against Notre Dame and a Jan. 14 matchup with Cornell, which will mark the first time since Nov. 24-25, 2001, that Cornell visits BU. In addition, BU will host Harvard at Walter Brown Arena on Dec. 30. The Terriers will open their 2022-23 season on Oct. 1 when they welcome Bentley to Agganis.

The Terriers have the opportunity to face seven teams that qualified for last year's NCAA Tournament, including a pair of games at 2022 Frozen Four participant Michigan on Oct. 14 and 16. Notre Dame will return to Agganis for the first time since Feb. 24-25, 2017. BU will face Air Force at the Desert Hockey Classic at Arizona State on Jan. 6, with the Terriers facing either Michigan Tech or the host Sun Devils the next day.

BU will begin its Beanpot title defense on Monday, Feb. 6, at TD Garden when the Terriers open the 70th edition of the tournament against Northeastern in a rematch of last year's thrilling championship contest.

The Battle of Comm Ave will return to Agganis on Jan. 27, with the Terriers also trekking to Boston College on Dec. 9 and Jan. 28 to face their longtime rival.

Hockey East play will begin on Oct. 21-22 when the Terriers host UConn for a weekend series at Agganis Arena. Twelve of the Terriers' final 13 games in the first semester will be against league opponents, including home dates with UMass Lowell (Oct. 29), UMass (Nov. 12), Northeastern (Nov. 18) and New Hampshire (Dec. 3).

Fans can purchase season tickets here; individual game tickets will go on sale at a later date. Discounted season ticket packages for faculty, staff and young alumni can be purchased through the ticket office (617-353-GoBU, option 4) or terriertickets@bu.edu. Game times will be announced later this summer.
