Field Hockey Set to Welcome Six Newcomers to 2022 Roster

BOSTON - The Boston University field hockey program will welcome six newcomers to campus next month for the 2022 season. The incoming group hails from four states and two South American countries.
"This incoming class is truly representative of Boston University's diversity with talented student-athletes from Texas, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Chile, Argentina and Massachusetts," said head coach Sally Starr. "Each one has the ability to play on multiple lines and we anticipate this group will have an immediate positive impact on the success of our program."

Played for Saint Catherine's Moorlands Club – both U18 and First Team – as a senior … Won U16 Buenos Aires Metropolitan Tournament with Club San Fernando … Trained with Buenos Aires U16 team … Won U14 national championship with Club San Fernando.

Natalie Epperson - Forward/Midfield
Three-time Wisconsin High School Field Hockey Association honoree, including first-team honors in 2020 … Served as captain at University School of Milwaukee and for Windy City club team … Won U19 Nexxus Championship in 2021 … Competed at the U16 NFC as a sophomore and junior … Participated in the Under Armour Select Games … Also played ice hockey.

Maddie Hudson - Forward/Midfield
Two-time Pennsylvania All-State First Team honoree at Palmyra Area HS … Won state title as a junior after a runner-up finish as a sophomore … Three-time Mid-Penn Keystone Conference selection (First Team – 2021, 2020; Second Team – 2019) … All-State Academic honoree as a junior and senior … Three-time NIT pool champion with WC Eagles … Also won U16 and U19 titles at Disney Showcase … NFHCA Scholar of Distinction … Also a member of the Palmyra soccer and track & field teams.

Celia Nocivelli - Back
Team captain at The Governor's Academy … Earned All-ISL honors … League MVP as a sophomore … Named to All-New England Team in 2019 … Played for North East Elite club team … Won club regional title as a freshman.

Amalia Preece - Forward/Midfield
Member of Chile's Junior National program … Two-time champion at British Schools Tournament (2018, 2019) … Also won 7v7 British Schools tournaments both year … Named Best Teammate in 2018 … Reached national club semifinals with Club Deportivo Alumni in 2020 and 2021.

Megan Wetzel - Midfield/Back
Captain and team MVP at St. John's School … MAX Field Hockey All-Region selection … Team ranked as high as fourth in West/Midwest during 2021 season … Won conference championship as a freshman and sophomore … Three-time NIT participant with Texas Pride …. Helped Texas Pride earn first-place finishes at 2019 & 2021 National Hockey Festivals and 2021 Disney Showcase … Captain and MVP for St. John's lacrosse team, leading them to city title and state semifinals.
