Women's Golf Finishes Tied for Seventh at BC Intercollegiate

CANTON, Mass. - Paced by top-20 efforts from sophomore Christy Chen and junior Flair Kuan, the Boston University women's golf team finished tied for seventh among 16 teams at the 2022 Boston College Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Blue Hill Country Club.

In Tuesday's third and final round, Chen led the Terriers with a 75 to finish at plus-12 for the tournament with a 228, putting in a tie for 12th. Kuan finished tied for 19th at plus-16 (232) following her round of 78 on Tuesday. Chen had three birdies in each of the final two rounds and was one of just two players in the tournament to finish under par on par 3s.

Seniors Alice Fan and Kristen Min Ju Kim finished the tournament tied for 43rd with a 240 (+24) and senior Monica Yu moved up seven spots on Tuesday with a 79 to finish tied for 64th at plus-30 (246).

BU finished tied with Creighton of the Big East for seventh in the team standings. Tournament host Boston College edged Elon by two strokes for the title.

The Terriers will return to action on Oct. 9-11 when they head to South Carolina to compete in the Edisto Island Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston.
