Terriers Look to Defend Title at Patriot League Championship

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – The Boston University women's golf team will defend its 2022 conference title this weekend when it competes in the 2023 Patriot League Championship, hosted by Richmond at Independence Golf Club on April 21-23.
Richmond enters the tournament as the favorite over Navy and BU according the GolfStat and GolfWeek team rankings. Last season, BU topped Richmond by one stroke at USNA Golf Club to claim its third Patriot League title and first since 2018.
Sophomore Christy Chen led the Terriers during the regular season with a scoring average of 75.21. She is followed by junior Flair Kuan (76.60) and senior Alice Fan (77.02). Kuan is the defending Patriot League Golfer of the Year after winning the individual title by four strokes with a score of 76-74-74—224.
The six-team field will play 18 holes each day with BU starting in the final group on Friday with Richmond and Navy at 9:30 a.m. The league championship is a six-player format with the top four scores counting towards the team score.
